Why does Digback exist?
Because saving is easy and finding is not. Lalit had more than 1500 saved links across Reddit, WhatsApp and Instagram, and had opened maybe twenty of them. Each app kept its own pile, none of them could search by what a link was about, and WhatsApp had no saved list at all, only a chat with himself full of links.
Digback is the tool he built so that pile becomes something he actually uses. It brings the three piles into one board, reads every link, and lets you search the way you would ask a friend: “that site for AI design”.
Who makes Digback?
Lalit Fauzdar builds and runs Digback on his own. He writes the code, runs the server and answers the email. His own site is fauzdar1.com, and you can find him on LinkedIn and GitHub.
How is Digback built?
Plainly, so it is cheap to run and easy to trust:
- The website you are reading is plain HTML, with no tracking scripts.
- The app is a React web app. It installs from the browser on Android and iPhone.
- The server is Node.js with one MongoDB database. Search by meaning runs on that server with a small model, so searches do not go to an outside AI service.
- Claude and other AI apps connect through an MCP server.
