Where Raindrop.io is better
Most places, if you want a general bookmark manager:
- You can use it today, for free. Digback has no free plan and is not open for new accounts yet.
- It saves from anywhere with one click. Extensions for four browsers and real phone apps with a share button. Digback has a bookmarklet and installs from the browser.
- It keeps what you save. Web archive keeps a full copy even if the page goes away, and full text search covers PDFs, EPUBs and YouTube transcripts. Digback keeps the text of articles for reading and search, not the whole page with its images.
- It is built for sharing. Public pages and shared collections. Digback is one person per account.
- It imports from many bookmark apps, including Pocket, Instapaper and Omnivore exports.
Where Digback is different
- It reads the files Reddit, WhatsApp and Instagram give you. Upload your Reddit data export, a WhatsApp chat export or your Instagram saved export, and every saved link becomes a pin. Raindrop.io’s import page does not list these.
- WhatsApp messages become notes. The words around a link in the chat are kept with it, because that is usually why you shared it.
- Instagram collections become boards, and Digback asks you for a one line note per post, since Instagram does not let outside apps read it.
- Its MCP server has no delete tool, so an AI app can tidy your board but cannot remove anything.
What about search?
Both search by meaning, not only exact words. Raindrop.io does this on its free plan. Digback does it on the Digback server with a small built in model, and mixes it with word matches on the title, tags, your note and the page text.
The real difference is what there is to search. Digback’s strength is saves that never made it into a bookmark manager in the first place: the Reddit Saved tab, a WhatsApp chat with yourself, and Instagram’s saved grid.

Yes. Digback exports every pin as a browser bookmarks HTML file, and Raindrop.io imports HTML bookmarks. So you can pull your Reddit, WhatsApp and Instagram saves into Digback to find and clean them up, then move the ones that matter wherever you like.
